Chamber Mid-Year Meeting & Leadership Graduation

The CB Chamber is hosting the Chamber's Mid-Year Meeting and Leadership Graduation on Wednesday, June 21 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Mid-America Center. Join us as we congratulate members of Leadership Council Bluffs Class 35 for their completion of the program, and hear from our Keynote Speaker, Kim Hoogeveen, Ph.D.  Dr. Kim Hoogeveen is the creator and owner of MindSet^® and BetterCulture – two organizations focused on helping their clients build workplace cultures that attract, develop, and retain great employees.
 
Prior to starting MindSet and BetterCulture, Dr. Hoogeveen was the founding President & CEO of QLI, a premier healthcare and rehabilitation center in Omaha, Nebraska.  During his 23 years at the helm of the organization, QLI grew to be the nation’s largest specialized center of its kind, developing over $100,000,000 in facilities, employing over 400 staff, and being recognized FIVE times being recognized as the #1 Best Place to Work in Omaha.
 
The driving force for the creation of MindSet and BetterCulture came from business leaders who were searching for an approach to leadership training that was applied and functional and would make a lasting impact on cultural health and profitability. These leaders encouraged Dr. Hoogeveen to share the leadership insights and tools that were generating such exceptional results at QLI. 
 
In addition to his expertise and thought leadership in the realm of workplace culture, Kim has over twenty years of experience as a labor mediator and arbitrator. He has served as a board member for several state and regional organizations, and on advisory boards for local businesses and universities. Kim has twice been recognized as the Nebraska Man of the Year (once by Goodwill Industries and again by the Autism Center of Nebraska), was just this year honored with the Individual Contributor Award by Best Places to Work in Omaha, and in recognition of his wide-ranging professional accomplishments he was the youngest individual ever inducted into the prestigious Ak-Sar-Ben Court of Honor.
